[ This is a win-win situation. Roland has rationalized that even if he lost to Tidus, one: he would still end up with more points than his first platform day; two: Tidus would get enough points to maybe buy himself something nice apart from buying other people favors; and three; whatever Tidus was willing to do on the train would benefit everyone else, in his rush to one-up Roland.
Got you.
Roland slowly walks over to Tidus, dish cloth against his shoulder, grin as wide as it can be. He then claps him twice on the shoulder, before leaning close, as if sharing a conspiracy. ]
Looks like someone's gonna need to mop some floors.
[ Ah-- what's with this smooth ol' walk, this cool guy lean in and trying to rile Tidus up like this? It's so innocuous on the outside, but really it isn't, and if you think that Tidus is about soon to break out into a cleaning storm, you'd be right. ]
Bah-- [ But for the immediate second after that smug remark, Tidus is lost for words. Until he isn't, all that hot passion really now hot: ]
Then I'll leave the bathrooms to you!
[ Hah! And with that, Tidus is going to get started on the baking trays that have been soaking in the sink. You've started it now, Roland. The competition is on. ]
[ He didn't think he'd get that worked up about it, but Roland's grin doesn't go away even as Tidus marches off almost comically to get the trays done. He was very reminiscent of someone from home, and it only worried him somewhat that his heart was so very much on his sleeve...
He follows his movement shortly after, stacking up the final batch of plates that they temporarily left behind when the conversation reached its peak. ]
Thanks. Happy to be on bathroom duty. [ A beat. ] I'll be sure to clean them all multiple times in one day. [ With the implication being: you're definitely on, son. They may not know how points work on the train, but surely it's got something to do with diligent chore-duty, right? Roland raises his eyebrows twice till they reach his hairline, happily playing along with Tidus' rising spirit. ]
