[ The energy on this guy was something else. Roland flashes him another one of his trademark Expressions, arms crossed against his chest. He was only halfway finished with his own snack - leftovers repurposed with even more carrots! - but something tells him Tidus wasn't going to take no for an answer. ]

[ Said only with just a slight hint of sarcasm. But nevertheless, Roland stands up and leaves his plate for now. He walks to the side of the long table, moving towards the door of the dining car, but halts just enough so he can gesture to the entryway. ]

After you, Mr. Big Spender. [ A smirk. ]

[ Tidus did not eat anything with carrots for breakfast, tyvm. Give him scrambled eggs and fritters (okay, the one thing allowed to have carrots) and/or toast.

Suffice to say, he was nearly done with his food. But that didn't mean anything for getting Roland up and standing too, though he's already ahead of Tidus now, who follows the gesture with a scoff his quip deserves. ]

Yeah, yeah. You know there's a guy here with five hundred points to his name, right? I wanna know what he's saving up for.

[ But Tidus has found himself in front of the shop terminal, touching the screen and pulling out his ticket to put in at command. Up comes his name, points, and the options available. He presses into ~ Entertainment- Specific (8 Points). ]

[ He's going to truly suffer once this train gives them an ingredient even healthier than carrots, which by Roland's count, isn't even the worst of the vegetable family. How would he take something like spinach? Or green beans? A thought for another time.

His eyes squint as he watches Tidus work the terminal, voice only just a tad incredulous. First of all, are they friends? Or does Tidus just go around peeking at other people's points for kicks? ]

Forget that; I wanna know what he's done to get so much.

[ Out of respect for privacy, Roland doesn't peek too hard into the screen, though he knows the onboard shop page when he sees it. He lingers very close by, still figuring out how to one-up this kid's generosity some day... ]

[ What is Tidus meant to do, not nose the passenger roster once in a while? He doesn't know if that one guy still has all those points, but this isn't the standard ICP terminal, so there's no taking a look ow. ]

Wanna go ask? [ There's a laugh in the question, and Tidus is typing into the keyboard, used with this kind of tech not to be too slow. He hums a little, and then steps aside, much as he had done when showing the screen to Roland when they first met.

On it, it says:

[ Roland moves closer to the terminal, one hand under his chin as he reads the writing on the screen. It looks right...'A photo book of kingdom Evermore'...

...he takes a chance and reaches up to type something else, amending the text quickly and precisely, maybe fingers moving just a little bit slower than Tidus. He even uses both hands. Afterwards, he reads it again, nods, and then steps behind the younger man once more. ]

There. That might be more specific.

[ On the screen, it now reads: 'A Photo book of the Kingdom of Evermore, Second World |' ]

[ Just let Tidus squint as this for a second before- ]

...Did you really go back and capitalise everything?

[ Did you really do that to him. Made him stand here. And wait. While you put in the capitals????? With your slow typing hands?! ]

[ He was not expecting such a reaction, so he's pretty taken aback by it. Roland looks at Tidus, then at the terminal, then back at him again in quick succession. His arms fall back into place against his chest, crossed over each other. ]

What? You told me to add more!

[ LOOK MAN, WE'RE NOT ALL TECH-SAVVY !!! also he types Like He Writes and he writes....exactly as one would expect of a middle-aged man !! ]

You rewrote the stuff I wrote! To write it proper!

[ Tidus is not being looked at like he's weird for having a problem with this! And yes, he definitely threw out a hand to gesture to the screen at what Roland did! ]

Pah!

[ Whatever!!! Tidus submits, and... ]

[ 'Thank you for your purchase, it will be available to collect at the next station.' ]

It went through. There. Can't believe you rewrote what I wrote....

[ Roland still flashes Tidus THIS FACE but he's happy. And grateful beyond words. He really won't forget kindness. ]

Hey, what can I say? Old habits die hard. [ Which is true! Roland's a lawmaker! He's into ~ proper words ~ that Tidus hates!! He pats Tidus' back fondly. ] You're a team player, y'know that? Thanks. As soon as that book comes, I'm giving it to you first.

[ He waves again, once as he starts to walk back to his chore duties. How cool is he, right? ]

Tidus isn't even going to bother to say anything--not really grumpy, but also maybe grumpily allowing Roland to have his Cool Walking From Explosions type moment by not disturbing it. Loser. He'll clean up his snack, and

...he's going to go and find his girlfriend ok. ]
