A Primer on Magitek: Arms Bands
INTRODUCTION.
APPEARANCE & ADJUSTMENT
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What happens if it breaks? ❓ Such a case has yet to happen based on the experience of the author of this primer, though it may bode portentous given it is an item that can hold infinite items all at once. The world where Arms Bands originated handle them with care, and are considered very important pieces of magitek in common society. (Please send a quick note to the author should this ever, unfortunately, come to pass, for purposes of posterity.)
How do I get one? ❓ As of this primer's writing, the Voidtrecker Express seems to have halted the free purchase of Arms Bands (which used to be available in the Onboard Shop at 45 pts. each). For personal Arms Bands, please discuss with the author, who hails from the magitek's place of origin and can still buy them so long as points are available.
Additionally, Team Leads per color may have Arms Bands available for communal use during missions. If you are interested in wielding one during assigned missions, please approach your respective Team Lead or Inventory Manager accordingly. NOTE: Kindly return communal Arms Bands to your Team Lead, post-mission.
What can't I store inside? ❓ Living, organic things, though plants of all types seem to be the singular exception to the rule. Similar hammerspace items are also rejected by the arms band, and may induce space-time anomalies of which the author of this primer cannot guarantee the outcome of. Please avoid.
What if I forget what I put in the Arms Band? ❓ This may pose a dilemma for the user. One must have total and faithful recollection of items placed inside the equipment to draw them out. The author recommends to keep a log of what has been placed inside the Arms Band if needed.
What's the size limit of things I can put inside? ❓ Items that can be held or carried with both hands. Anything larger than this area of effect may encounter a difficult time being attuned to the Arms Band. Large weapons however, are the exception (i.e. hammers as big as a person, scythes, etc.)

To whom this may concern,
If you are reading this piece, then you have found yourself in possession of magical technology called an Arms Band. Though its primary use is the easy transportation of weapons, if utilized outside of combat, it can function as a near-infinite holding space for the day-to-day.
For a practical demonstration of its mechanics, you may look for Roland Crane (Purple), Cabin 2:C. Otherwise, refer to this guide for basic information.
An Arms Band looks discreet enough to pass off as regular jewelry. (A printed picture of the Arms Band is attached to the page, in full color.) As such, its design suits the purpose of the wearer. Should you find yourself having to handle one, you have the option to wear it as a ring on your finger, a band around your actual arm, or as a wristlet. It will adjust according to where it is placed on your limb or hand and stays put unless the wearer decides to remove it.
The author of this primer has not attempted to wear the Arms Band anywhere else on their person.
HOW TO USE (ATTUNING): Upon first wear, allow the Arms Band to adjust to the user. One may recognize it as a feeling of warmth, similar to the sensation of dropping into a nice bath after a long day of work. This is neither harmful nor is it a lasting feeling; it should dissipate after a few seconds. Proceed accordingly.
HOW TO USE (PLACING WEAPONRY INSIDE): Given the primary purpose of Arms Bands, weapons (melee, magic, and long-ranged alike) enjoy the benefit of being awakened when placed inside. This unlocks the full potential of your weapon such that the user may notice the creation of new skills and moves. However, Arms Band holds a limit of three (3) melee weapons and one (1) long-ranged weapon only. You may store more weapons inside as items, but weapons to be used ready for battle must meet the aforementioned cap. Skills assigned to weapons may take time to recall, which is why four moves at a time is best. Perhaps the most useful feature of weapons attuned to an Arms Band lies not in their awakened state, but because ranged weapons that use ammunition of any kind will automatically be replenished infinitely. The author of the primer has noted, however, that lack of magical stamina directly affects how fast the user can shoot with this infinite ammo.
HOW TO USE (PLACING ITEMS INSIDE): Non-weaponry may be stored in the Arms Band with no limit. The Arms Band cannot hold anything that is alive. In general, the way to use the Arms Band involves some level of mental clarity. To place anything in the band, hold the item in question with one or both hands. Remember it clearly, from its physical traits to quantity. While wearing the Arms Band, imagine that the item is being stored or hidden somewhere safe, where only the user has access. When this idea is fully formed, the user must gently close their hands, allowing the magic to activate. Said item will disappear, noted only by a flurry of gold light and glimmer. Rinse and repeat this process with an emphasis on focus. Do not forget what has been placed inside an Arms Band, or how it looks like. This may make summoning items difficult.
HOW TO USE (REMOVING ITEMS): It will take some practice to cycle through weapons and items attuned to the Arms Band, but this is easily remedied through habit and constant use. To summon anything out of the Arms Band, revisit the special place where items have been stored; where only the user has access. Imagine removing those items clearly, remembering physical traits, name, and quantity. Then, as the mind's eye draws them out, open a closed fist and allow the Arms Band to work once more. If successful, the item will reappear out of thin air, marked by the same flurry of golden light when the it was placed inside the equipment. The user will find that items stored inside the Arms Band will be preserved in the state they attuned to the band. This includes food items, which do not rot inside the Arms Band. Take caution in summoning item and weapon at the same time. Accidents have happened when the mind mistakes one for the other.
